About this recipe
Chicken with bell pepper and feta is served with bulgur, sweet red pepper, and bold, salty cheese. The seared chicken stays tender, the bell pepper adds color and a fresher sweetness, and feta contributes a creamy, salty accent. Bulgur suits the dish because it cooks quickly without overpowering the other ingredients. Add the feta at the end and warm it only slightly so it does not melt completely. Serve immediately, while the meat is juicy and the bell pepper retains its texture.
Ingredients
Servings: 4
300 g chicken breast
1 red bell pepper
60 g feta cheese
120 g bulgur
1 tablespoon olive oil
Steps
Cook the bulgur for 10–12 minutes and set it aside so it is ready to serve with the meat.
Cut the chicken breast into 2–3 cm pieces. Heat the olive oil and cook the chicken over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes, turning, until lightly browned.
Add the bell pepper and cook for another 4–5 minutes, until softened and the chicken is fully cooked through.
Remove the skillet from the heat, add the crumbled feta, and stir gently.
Serve immediately with the bulgur, while the chicken is juicy and the other ingredients still retain some texture.
