About this recipe

Broccoli and mozzarella frittata is a substantial baked egg dish for breakfast, brunch, or a simple dinner. Broccoli and mozzarella give it more texture and make it more filling than a plain omelet. Whisk the egg mixture thoroughly before pouring it into the dish, then distribute the broccoli and mozzarella evenly so every slice has a similar flavor. Avoid baking or reheating it for too long, as the eggs may dry out. Serve the frittata warm or slightly cooled, once the egg mixture is fully set and easy to cut into portions.

Ingredients

Servings: 5

  • 5 eggs

  • 150 g broccoli

  • 60 g mozzarella

Steps

  1. Cut the broccoli into small florets and parboil or steam them for 3–4 minutes.

  2. Whisk the eggs in a bowl.

  3. Combine the broccoli with the eggs, transfer the mixture to a baking dish, and add the pieces of mozzarella.

  4. Bake for 15–18 minutes at 180°C, until the center is set and the cheese is lightly browned.
