About this recipe

This mango banana smoothie is a smooth, fruity drink made with milk, yogurt, and a touch of vanilla. Mango provides rich sweetness and a sunny color, banana thickens the smoothie and makes it more filling, and yogurt adds a gentle tang. Vanilla gives it a dessert-like note without the need for extra sweetener. Blend only until smooth. It makes a quick breakfast smoothie or a drink at any time of day.

Ingredients

Servings: 2

  • 150 g mango

  • 1 banana

  • 250 ml milk

  • 2 tablespoons yogurt

  • a pinch of vanilla

Steps

  1. If using fresh mango, peel it, cut the flesh away from the pit, and cut it into smaller pieces. Peel the banana and break it into smaller pieces.

  2. Add the ingredients to a blender jar in this order: 150 g mango, 1 banana, 250 ml milk, 2 tablespoons yogurt, and a pinch of vanilla.

  3. Blend the mango with the banana, milk, yogurt, and vanilla until the smoothie is smooth and evenly yellow. If using frozen mango, blend a little longer.

  4. Serve right away, while the smoothie is creamy and cold. If the mango and banana thicken it too much, add a little milk.
