About this recipe

These waffles with whipped cream and fruit are a classic dessert with crisp exteriors, soft centers, a light layer of cream, and fresh fruit. The batter combines milk, eggs, flour, oil, and baking powder. Whip the cream just before serving so it stays fluffy instead of deflating on the warm waffles. Fresh fruit adds brightness and balances the sweetness of the waffles and cream.

Ingredients

Servings: 4

  • 180 g all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 250 ml milk

  • 150 ml whipping cream (30% fat)

  • 150 g fruit

  • 100 g sugar

  • 50 ml oil

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Steps

  1. Preheat the waffle maker before mixing the batter. Pour off a small amount of the measured 50 ml oil and use it to lightly grease the plates.

  2. Combine the eggs with the milk, sugar, and remaining oil, stirring until the sugar dissolves into the wet mixture.

  3. Add the flour and baking powder, then mix briefly, only until you have a smooth batter with no dry streaks.

  4. Cook the waffles for 3–5 minutes, until golden and set. Separately, whip the well-chilled cream just before serving.

  5. Serve immediately with the whipped cream and fruit.
