About this recipe
Orange-lemon lemonade is milder than classic lemonade made with lemons alone. The orange contributes natural sweetness and citrus aroma, the lemon keeps the drink bright and tart, and honey rounds out the flavor without the need for syrup. Combine the freshly squeezed juice with the honey and some of the water, then add the remaining water and ice. Serve well chilled with citrus slices.
Ingredients
Servings: 6
1 orange
1 lemon
1 liter water
2 tablespoons honey
ice cubes
Steps
Halve the orange and lemon, squeeze out the juice, and remove the seeds. For a stronger citrus aroma, reserve a few thin fruit slices for the pitcher.
Stir the honey into some of the water, then add the orange and lemon juices. Mix thoroughly so the honey is evenly distributed through the citrus base.
Pour in the remaining water, then add the ice cubes and any reserved fruit slices. Stir briefly to keep the lemonade light and fresh.
Serve as soon as it is chilled. The orange mellows the lemon, so give the drink one final taste and stir before pouring if needed.
