About this recipe

Turkey, cheese, and cucumber toasted sandwiches are a filling hot breakfast made with simple ingredients. Roast turkey forms the hearty base, melted cheese holds the warm filling together, and fresh cucumber added after toasting stays light and crisp. Heat the bread with the turkey and cheese first, then add the cucumber after cutting the sandwiches. This keeps the filling warm without making the cucumber soft or watery. Serve immediately, while the bread is golden and the cheese is lightly melted.

Ingredients

Servings: 1

  • 4 slices sandwich bread

  • 80 g roast turkey

  • 50 g cheese

  • 1/2 cucumber

Steps

  1. Thinly slice the cucumber, and cut the cheese into slices or thin pieces.

  2. Arrange the roast turkey and cheese on two bread slices, then cover with the remaining slices.

  3. Toast the sandwiches for 3–5 minutes, until the bread is golden and the filling is heated through.

  4. Cut the toasted sandwiches in half, tuck in the cucumber slices so they stay crisp, and serve immediately.
