About this recipe

Baked apples with walnuts are a warm dessert made with apples, walnuts, honey, cinnamon, and raisins. As the apples bake, they soften and their juices mingle with the honey and cinnamon to make an aromatic filling. The walnuts add crunch, while the raisins enhance the filling's natural sweetness. Choose apples that hold their shape well in the oven so they become soft inside without falling apart.

Ingredients

Servings: 4

  • 4 apples

  • 40 g walnuts

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 30 g raisins

Steps

  1. Wash the apples and core them without cutting all the way through the fruit.

  2. Chop the walnuts and mix with the raisins, honey, and cinnamon.

  3. Stuff the apples with the walnut mixture and place them in a small baking dish.

  4. Bake at 180°C for 25–35 minutes, until the apples are soft but retain their shape.

  5. Serve with the juices that collect at the bottom of the dish.
