About this recipe

Baked pears with honey are a simple dessert made with pears, honey, nuts, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Baking softens the pears and brings out their aroma, while honey highlights their natural sweetness and lemon juice adds fresh contrast. Walnuts or hazelnuts provide a crisp counterpoint to the soft fruit. Use the cinnamon sparingly so it enhances the pears without overpowering them.

Ingredients

Servings: 4

  • 4 pears

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 40 g walnuts or hazelnuts

  • a pinch of cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps

  1. Halve the pears and remove the cores.

  2. Mix the honey with the lemon juice and cinnamon.

  3. Arrange the pears in a baking dish, drizzle with the honey mixture, and sprinkle with chopped nuts.

  4. Bake at 180°C for 20–30 minutes, until the fruit is soft when pierced.

  5. Serve warm, with a little of the sauce from the bottom of the baking dish.
