About this recipe

Carrot-apple juice is a homemade drink made with carrots, apples, ginger, water, and lemon juice. Carrot provides a mildly sweet vegetable base, apples add fruity freshness, and ginger brings a gently spicy note. Lemon juice balances the sweetness and keeps the overall flavor brighter. This blender juice works well when you want a drink with more body than clear juice from a juicer.

Ingredients

Servings: 2

  • 3 carrots

  • 2 apples

  • 200 ml water

  • juice of 1/2 lemon

  • about a 2 cm piece of fresh ginger

Steps

  1. Peel the carrots and cut them into thin slices. Wash and core the apples, then cut them into smaller pieces. Peel and finely chop the ginger.

  2. Blend the carrots with the water first so the firm pieces break down thoroughly. Then add the apples, ginger, and lemon juice.

  3. Blend until the mixture is as smooth as possible. If it is too thick, pause briefly and blend again instead of running the blender for too long.

  4. Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve if you want a lighter drink, or leave some of the pulp for a fuller texture. Serve immediately.
