About this recipe

Iced green tea with kiwi is a refreshing drink made with green tea, kiwi, honey, and ice. The kiwi adds noticeable tartness and a fruity aroma, while the green tea creates a light, subtly vegetal base. The honey softens the fruit’s tart flavor but should not completely cover it. This iced tea works well for people who prefer less sweet drinks with a distinct fruit accent and a short preparation time.

Ingredients

Servings: 2

  • 2 green tea bags

  • 2 kiwis

  • 800 ml water

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • ice cubes

Steps

  1. Steep the green tea for 2–3 minutes, then remove the tea bags immediately. Set the tea aside to cool.

  2. Peel the kiwis and cut them into thin slices or small dice. You can lightly mash some of the fruit so it releases its flavor more quickly.

  3. Add the honey and kiwi to the cooled tea. Chill the drink for 30–45 minutes so the fruit can blend with the delicate tea.

  4. Serve with ice cubes and pieces of kiwi. For a clearer drink, strain it before pouring into glasses.
