About this recipe

Strawberry iced tea is a cool drink made with black tea, strawberries, honey, and ice cubes. The strawberries bring mild sweetness and a summery aroma, while the black tea gives the drink a deeper, slightly tannic base. For the best result, mash some of the fruit and leave a few pieces for serving. It is a simple way to make homemade iced tea that tastes fruitier than regular tea with ice while still feeling light.

Ingredients

Servings: 2

  • 2 black tea bags

  • 180 g strawberries

  • 800 ml water

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • ice cubes

Steps

  1. Steep the black tea for 3–4 minutes, then remove the tea bags. Let the tea cool slightly so the strawberries do not lose their fresh flavor.

  2. Wash and hull the strawberries, then cut any larger berries. Mash some with the honey, leaving the rest in pieces.

  3. Mix the tea with the strawberries and chill in the refrigerator for 30–45 minutes. During this time, the fruit will release its color and aroma.

  4. Serve with ice cubes and strawberry pieces. If you prefer a clearer drink, strain the tea before serving.
