About this recipe

Raspberry iced tea is a chilled drink made with black tea, raspberries, honey, water, and ice. Black tea provides a distinct base, raspberries add color and bright fruit tartness, and honey mellows the flavor without turning the drink syrupy. Mash some of the raspberries to release their juice and reserve a few whole berries for serving. Chill the tea before adding the ice so it does not become diluted too quickly.

Ingredients

Servings: 4

  • 2 black tea bags

  • 150 g raspberries

  • 800 ml water

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • ice cubes

Steps

  1. Steep the black tea for 3–4 minutes, then remove the tea bags. Set it aside to cool so it is no longer hot when you add the raspberries.

  2. Sort through the raspberries and rinse them gently. Mash half the berries with the honey and leave the rest whole.

  3. Combine the cooled tea with the raspberry mixture and refrigerate for 30–45 minutes. For a drink with less pulp, strain it before adding the whole raspberries.

  4. Serve with ice cubes and the remaining raspberries. Stir before pouring, as the fruit juice naturally settles at the bottom.
