About this recipe

Banana oat bars are a baked snack made with oats, bananas, honey, cinnamon, and pumpkin seeds. Mashed bananas bind the mixture and add natural sweetness, so the bars do not need a complicated base. Oats make the snack more filling, cinnamon adds a warm aroma, and pumpkin seeds provide a crunchy accent. It helps to press the mixture firmly into the pan so it is easy to cut into even pieces after baking. These homemade oat bars work well in a lunchbox or as a quick sweet snack between meals.

Ingredients

Servings: 4

  • 180 g rolled oats

  • 2 bananas

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds

Steps

  1. Mash the bananas with a fork to make a puree.

  2. Mix them with the oats, honey, cinnamon, and pumpkin seeds.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a small parchment-lined baking pan and press it down firmly.

  4. Bake at 180°C for about 20–25 minutes, then cool and cut into bars.
