About this recipe

Carrot and cheese fritters are a warm snack made with eggs, flour, dill, and grated cheese, with gentle sweetness from the vegetables. Carrots add color and natural sweetness, while cheese strengthens the flavor and helps give the fritters a firmer texture. Eggs and flour bind the mixture, making the small fritters easy to fry and flip. Dill adds a fresh, herbal note that balances the mild carrots.

Ingredients

Servings: 4

  • 3 carrots

  • 2 eggs

  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 50 g cheese

  • 1 tablespoon dill

  • 2 teaspoons canola oil (about 8 g), for frying

Steps

  1. Grate the carrots and cheese, and finely chop the dill.

  2. Combine everything with the eggs and flour until a cohesive mixture forms.

  3. Heat a total of 8 g of oil in a nonstick skillet, dividing it among all batches. Spoon small portions into the skillet and fry for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.

  4. Serve warm or after cooling slightly.
