About this recipe

Coconut twaróg balls are a quick sweet snack made with twaróg, shredded coconut, yogurt, honey, and vanilla. Twaróg gives the mixture a distinctly milky base and makes the balls more filling than classic sweets made only with oats or dates. Yogurt helps create a smoother consistency, honey adds gentle sweetness, and vanilla pairs well with the coconut aroma. It helps to reserve some shredded coconut for coating so the balls have a more pleasant outer texture. These coconut twaróg balls work well as a small refrigerated snack, an after-meal dessert, or a simple sweet treat.

Ingredients

Servings: 10

  • 200 g twaróg (Polish farmer’s cheese)

  • 80 g shredded coconut

  • 1 teaspoon honey

  • a pinch of vanilla

  • 1 tablespoon yogurt

Steps

  1. Mash the twaróg with the yogurt, honey, and vanilla until smooth.

  2. Add most of the shredded coconut and mix thoroughly.

  3. Shape the mixture into small balls with damp hands.

  4. Roll them in the remaining shredded coconut and chill for 15–20 minutes before serving.
