About this recipe

These homemade tortilla chips are seasoned with olive oil, paprika, and herbes de Provence. Flour tortillas brown quickly once cut into triangles, making them a convenient crunchy snack without a long baking time. Olive oil helps the seasonings adhere, while the herbs add a distinct Mediterranean-style aroma. A pinch of paprika contributes color and mild depth. This simple recipe makes tortilla chips that can be served on their own or as a crunchy addition to other snacks.

Ingredients

Servings: 3

  • 3 flour tortillas

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon herbes de Provence

  • a pinch of salt

  • a pinch of paprika

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C on the conventional setting (no fan) and position a rack in the middle. Cut the tortillas into similarly sized triangles.

  2. Toss the tortilla pieces with the olive oil, herbes de Provence, salt, and paprika.

  3. Arrange them in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  4. Bake for 8–12 minutes, rotating the baking sheet after about 6 minutes, until the chips are golden and dry around the edges.

  5. Transfer the chips to a wire rack and cool uncovered for 5 minutes so they become crisp.
